Reminder: No school for students on Wednesday, Nov. 10th - Parent/Teacher Conferences

Taylor County remains red on the WVDHHR map today, November 7, 2021. Taylor County Schools will remain masked in all facilities and on our buses for the next 14 days .

Our After-School students learned about flag etiquette today. We were so impressed with the questions they asked when it came to caring for a US flag. The older students asked to say the pledge and lead our younger ones with putting their right hand over their heart. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
A special thank you to Mr. John Ware who came in on his free time to speak with the students on the importance of the US flag and putting a new flag on our flag pole.

Our After-School students have been learning about the importance of Veterans Day. Today, we made cards and thank you notes for our brave men and women of the military. We will be delivering these to the VA and to local Taylor County Veterans!
Here are some pics! 🇺🇸❤️

Tomorrow is School Spirit Day! Wear Red and White!

A very special thank you to Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, Flemington EMS, Flemington Fire Department, Chick-Fil-A Cow, Miss WV Teen USA, and all parents and spectators that showed up today to make our Halloween Celebration so amazing and special for the kids! We saw so many smiles today!! 🥳

WBOY-TV will feature a story on Flemington Elementary School’s Halloween Celebration tonight!! Tune in!!

A reminder that tomorrow is the Halloween Celebration! The Taylor County Sheriff’s Department will assist us by closing off Simpson Road around 1:15pm. Students will parade from the school to the Green House and return back to the school. You may park wherever you’d like between the school and Green House and line up to view the parade. We do ask that you be mindful as to not block driveways or intersections. Students will be permitted to leave after the parade. If you are planning on picking your child up, please follow our pick up procedures we use each day. We will dismiss students from the side entrance. All vehicles must be moved from our parking lot by 2:30pm to allow room for the buses to pull in.
We will be having After-School Program on Thursday for any child that participates in the program and is planning to stay!
As always, please call the school if you have any questions!!

Check out all the amazing artists, engineers, and architects we have in second grade!! The students worked so hard on creating pumpkins to represent a person, animal, or thing! It’s hard to pick a favorite because they are all so cool!!

It’s a bird...It’s a plane....Nah, it’s just our first graders showing off their awesome superhero styles!!

Ms. Ashley Mossalatti and her pugs Penelope and Tallulah visited with Mrs. Wagner’s class today. Ms. Mossalatti is the author of “The Pugkin Patch“ and “The Pugkin Patch 2.” The kids listened to the story and got to visit with Penelope and Tallulah!
